Animal Hospital Policies
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases will always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
We do not provide the classic "drop-off" appointment. Over the years we have learned that in order to provide the best medicine, it is imperative to obtain a complete history for all patients.
If you feel that you may be more than 10-15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, we ask that you call us and arrange for a new appointment time.
Patient Arrival Policy
Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we require you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.
Please tell a receptionist right away if your pet has been coughing, sneezing, having diarrhea or vomiting. For the safety of our patients and to decrease the spread of disease we may ask you to wait with your pet outside until an appropriate exam room is available.
Our staff recognizes that the costs of medicine can be significant. Consequently we strive to use generic medications and practice in a manner that helps contain expenses. Compared to human medicine, veterinary medicine is a bargain. To maintain a healthy practice for years to come, it is important that all accounts be paid at the time services are rendered.
We do not offer payment plans but we do accept a number of major credit cards including Care Credit. With Care Credit an owner who qualifies may receive an interest free loan as long as it is repaid over a few to several months (length of time depends on how much money is borrowed). In addition, we offer pre-paid health plans that offer unlimited office calls and various levels of treatment at a low monthly fee. The health plans are pre-paid and designed to meet many different client and pet needs. Please explore the Health Plan options using the tab in the left margin. Pet health insurance is another option that is very popular with some owners.
Feel free to discuss our fees in advance to eliminate confusion and surprises. It is our policy to supply estimates for treatments in advance. Thank you.
