The Nickerson Animal Health Center team of skilled veterinarians welcomes you to our practice. Proudly serving the Benton Harbor and Metropolitan areas. At Nickerson Animal Health Center, it is our daily privilege to provide quality vet care to your cherished pet, with compassion and competence. Professional Development In 2006 she completed her veterinary training at Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, where she worked extensively in wildlife rehabilitation.
She is a current member of AVMA, MVMA, and SEMVMA

Licensed since 1989, joined our team August 2000
Professional and Personal Interests Enjoys being exposed to the diversity of patients and clients and the new challenges and rewards of each day. Camping, canoeing, bicycling, landscaping, and being active with the Boy Scouts of America.
Professional Development Dr. Merle is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and committee member of Boy Scout troop 623.

Dr. Vanessa Crenshaw

Education: BS in Biology Texas State University and received a DVM degree at Texas A&M
Family: Originally from Austin Texas I moved here with my wife Tracie and daughter Daphne. I also have a son, Mickey, who is working on his degree in Austin.
Pets: A plethora of animals joined us on our journey here: Border Collies - Ruby and Patches, Yorkies – Rita and Bowie, Cats – Lion, Penelope, Shaleti and Sydney and a Horse – Noodles.
Personal interests: Spending time with family, hiking, painting and home improvement in general.
